Merchiston Boarding School, Edinburgh

Arc-Tech (Scotland) is supporting one of Scotland’s leading private schools with the upgrade of their pupil accommodation at their campus in south-east Edinburgh.

Merchiston Boy’s Boarding School is located in Colinton and is set on over 100 acres of land based on the grounds of Merchiston Castle since 1893.

The modernisation works are being undertaken to student accommodation halls that are being led by the Main Contractor, Linear Design and Construct, of Linear Group

Arc-Tech will fully complete and commission a full M&E Services package over the coming months in support of a formal opening of the new facilities in time for the 23/24 academic year. This has included:

The project is the second that has been supported by Arc-Tech on behalf of Linear and is also a recent example of a working environment that involves Arc-Tech’s graduate apprentices. Electrician William Moncrief joined Arc-Tech in 2019 and is one of many examples of how the business is currently supporting youth employment across the breadth of the country.
