The council has undertaken an extensive programme to improve education facilities ranging from new build construction or the updating of existing premises with the aim of improving the availability of education for children of all ages.
Larkfield is a purpose-built, new build development located in Greenock that provides space for 100 children between the ages of 2 and 5.
Works were led by Main Contractor CCG (Scotland), in partnership with hub West Scotland, with the facility opening its doors in late-2021.
For Arc-Tech, the project represents a total of five projects to have been undertaken as part of this partnership that includes the new build construction of Glenpark Early Learning Centre (Greenock) and St Ninian’s Primary School (Greenock) as well as the refurbishment/ extension to Moorfoot Primary School and the Rainbow Family Centre, also located in Gourock.
