Arc-Tech (Scotland) is a leading provider of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Services and we seek an experienced Project Manager to join our team based in Glasgow.

Salary: DOE
Hours: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8.00am to 4:00pm; with additional hours worked as workload requires.
Location: 11 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow G32 8NB
This is a permanent role and does not include home-working.
The Role
- Provide overall leadership of allocated M&E Projects, to defined cost, time and quality requirements. Provide influential leadership to project teams.
- Manage the M&E Installation on projects to the client’s satisfaction, ensuring company commercial targets are delivered, and quality standards of installation and service levels are met.
- Management and administration of allocated projects, controlling the execution within the scope of the drawings, specification, quality plan and health and safety plan.
Key Tasks
- Overall ownership of all allocated projects, including the successful management of internal teams and support departments
- To implement safety management systems and personally set the standard.
- Be the single client point of contact; be the M&E representative across the multiple interfaces of the project
- Ensure the company’s project delivery tools and processes are fully implemented
- Deliver the project within the budget, optimising cost and quality parameters
- Support implementation of the Company HR policies
- Create an environment for exceptional project team performance
- Optimise resource utilisation and eliminate waste
- Be proactive and non-adversarial in project delivery
- Manage the recovery of all change
- Assist Quantity surveyor with reports, valuations and forecasts
- Monitor and report the progress of the contract, both internally and externally
- Collaborate with the main contractor regarding programme, and resolving pinch points.
- Produce M&E programme’s and develop an accurate/achievable commissioning programme
- Manage the procurement team, ensuring the provision of the correct materials with the appropriate programme timescales
- Interpret the technical requirements of the project, using the specification and the drawings
- Resolve conflicts between the technical specification/drawings and the company tender submission
- Resolve any technical queries with design teams, recording close out via RFI registers
- Manage sub-contractors and associated communication flows
- Attend all project-related meetings
- Ensure the company quality systems are in place and adhered to at all times.
- Manage the client relationships to engender repeat business.
- Manage the company commissioning and smooth landing processes / procedures
- Ensure O&M Manuals are produced to the company’s exacting standards
- Ensure client training is delivered to the company’s standard
Experience
- Experience of working on commercial M&E projects ranging in value from £100k to £4m
- Demonstratable track record
- Building services qualifications
- Experience of leading a team
- Displays strong leadership skills
- Good people management skills
- Commercial Acumen
- IT / Computers skills – Excel, Word, Project, Power point
- Awareness of internal business disciplines; estimating, purchasing, technical and commercial
